Montrose Football Club was delighted to welcome their No.1 Ticket Holder James Merlino MLA to the first home game on Saturday the 5th May to present him with his No.1 ticket.The committee and supporters really appreciate James effort to come to the club as in his new portfolio as Minister for Sport, Recreation and Youth Affairs his time is at a premium.

The rooms were full to capacity at the half time break for the presentation and James looked really good in his new Montrose Demons polo top! James has been the main driver behind securing State funding for the Montrose Recreation Reserve Re-Development and continues to provide support to the Development Committee.

He and his partner Megan then enjoyed the hospitality of Peter Donaldson, Chairman of the MFC Board of Management in the 'Super Box' for the remainder of the game.The Montrose Football club thanks James sincerely for his support and wish him and Megan all the best for coming birth of their first child.
